The amount of ammonia produced by the Ammonia-1 unit at Kemerovo Azot exceeded 10 mln tonnes

The amount of ammonia produced by the Ammonia-1 unit at Kemerovo Azot since the facility had been put into operation exceeded 10 mln tonnes, on 30 August, 2011.

Ammonia-1 is the first large-capacity ammonia-producing equipment installed at the plant. Following the modernisation held in 2010-2011 its daily production increased up to 1,500 tonnes (496,500 tonnes per year). The unit’s stability was also enhanced significantly – the percentage of calendar time used approached 94% in 2010, which is well above the industry average. Stable and uninterrupted operation contributed greatly to the Ammonia-1’s record annual output of 500,000 tonnes reached last year.

In 2010, Kemerovo “Azot” produced over 1.011 mln tonnes of ammonia setting another historical maximum - never before did its annual production exceed 1 mln tonnes.
